Take a Walk, experience Delhi by foot

Just as in other places around the world, street walks are one of the increasingly popular sightseeing options in Delhi and other major cities.
Here are some of Real-India by Kalka Travels best selections for Delhi.

The charming Dhruv Gupta will escort you through the bazaars of Old Delhi, where you get to meet the locals who are all so very friendly and informative, try some street food (its all perfectly safe, you are only taken to places that are world famous in Old Delhi). If you take an evening walk you can combine that with a home hosted dinner at the family haveli. This is a side to India you may never ordinarily experience, and a fabulous introduction to India. Reviewed in the LA Times here and you can book here

The city walk aims to sensitize people to the lives of street children. It's a unique way of engaging people in the lives of children in distress. The walk also provides an opportunity for the young people to improve their communication and speaking skills. All proceeds go directly to the trust to enable more opportunities to be made for street children so the walk is 100% non-profit making. Read more here and book here
